
This Monday, February 24, Flag Day, delays were recorded on line A of the CDMX Metro, continuing to affect at least five of the 12 lines that compose the system. Users reported waits of up to 10 minutes on lines 3, 5, and B, along with a high influx of passengers. The official social networks of the Metro reported maximum influx on lines 3 and A, with waiting times of 7 minutes to board a train.
Regarding the rest of the lines, there was a high influx reported on lines 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, B, and 12, with waiting times of 6 minutes to board a train. Line 4 was the only one reported as 'clear' or with moderate influx, with a waiting time of 4 minutes. However, some users of the STC Metro reported more significant delays than those communicated.
Users on social media reported delays on line 3 heading to Indios Verdes. In response, CDMX Metro stated that they were sending empty units to the stations with the highest demand to alleviate the situation. On line 5, trains were delayed in departing from the Politécnico terminal, causing complaints from passengers. Additionally, line 4 recorded delays of 10 minutes heading toward Martín Carrera, causing dissatisfaction among users.
Other users also reported problems on line B, which had already experienced delays of more than 10 minutes four days ago. Measures were requested to expedite service due to the prolonged waiting times at certain stations. Passengers expressed their frustration over the continuous delays on various lines of the CDMX Metro throughout the day.
